Steve Binckes is an Exercise Physiologist with the Sports Rehabilitation and Performance team at HSS. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and his Master of Science in Sports Science with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Hofstra University. Steve holds several professional certifications, including the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and USA-Weightlifting (USAW-1).

Steve brings nearly 10 years of experience across the private, high school, collegiate, and professional sport settings. Throughout his career he has worked with a variety of sports teams and organizations, including the Metropolitan Riveters, Wagner University Baseball, Monmouth University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Hofstra University and Montclair State University.

Steve uses an applied sports science approach when it comes to training. Utilizing technology and performance data to help guide return-to-sport and training decisions. He is passionate about educating his athletes in the “why” and “how” as they work together to achieve their goals, return-to-sport, and improve their overall performance.
